Rename a File​

  1. Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
  2. Click the My files section on the left panel.
  3. Select the file you want to rename.
  4. Click the Open Full Menu button in the top center panel.
  5. Select Rename.
  6. In the prompt, enter the new file name.
  7. Click Rename.

Files uploaded without a name keep the same name they have on the local machine.

Rename a Directory​

  1. Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
  2. Click the My files section on the left panel.
  3. Select the directory you want to rename.
  4. Click the Open Full Menu button in the top center panel.
  5. Select Rename.
  6. In the prompt, enter the new directory name.
  7. Click Rename.

Files Renamed

Rename old-file-name.file-format to new-file-name.file-format.

Linked Files and Directories Keep Their Original Names

If a file or directory appears in multiple locations through a link, only the entry you rename is affected. The same item in other locations keeps its original name.
