User Settings

Access Your User Settings​

  1. Go to the Open user menu icon in the toolbar.
  2. Select the User Settings option.

The User settings dialog opens. Every change applies as soon as you make it and is saved on your account, so your settings follow you to any computer you sign in from. Close only closes the dialog.

Change Toolbar Layout in User Settings​

The Toolbar layout option appears only in the Connect Application. Default uses two toolbars; Single merges both toolbars into one.

Location: Open user menu > User Settings

  1. In the pop-up, under Toolbar layout, select Default or Single.
  2. Once done, click Close.

With the Single layout, the toolbar cannot be placed at the Bottom.

Change Toolbar position in User Settings​

Location: Open user menu > User Settings

  1. In the pop-up, click the Toolbar position option.
  2. Set the toolbar position to Top, Left, Bottom, or Right as needed. The default is Left.
  3. Once done, click Close.

Change Theme in User Settings​

Location: Open user menu > User Settings

  1. In the pop-up, view all available themes under Theme.
  2. Set the theme to Default for OS, Modern, Light, or Dark.
  3. Once done, click Close.

Change Theme to High Contrast (WCAG Compliant)​

Location: Open user menu > User Settings

  1. In the pop-up, view all available themes under Theme.
  2. Select the High Contrast theme.
  3. Click Close.

High contrast mode uses WCAG AA-compliant colors.

Before You Log In​

The theme setting above needs a session. To turn on high contrast on the login page itself:

  1. Open the Connect Application.
  2. Select your deployment card.
  3. Turn on the High Contrast Mode toggle in the bottom right corner.

The login page toggle is remembered on this computer only. After you log in, the theme saved on your account replaces it.

Turn Single-Key Keyboard Shortcuts Off or On​

Single-key shortcuts use one key, such as T for the task tray or ? for the list of shortcuts. Turn them off if you use speech input or press keys by accident. Shortcuts with Ctrl, Alt, or Cmd keep working either way.

Location: Open user menu > User Settings

  1. In the pop-up, under Keyboard shortcuts, turn the Single-key keyboard shortcuts switch off or on. It is on by default.
  2. Once done, click Close.
