User, Sub-admin, Admin, Super-admin

Permission Requirements

Access Your Password Change Menu

  1. Go to the Open User Menu icon in the top left corner.
  2. Select the Change Password option.
caution

Changing your password generates a new private key. Your old private key will no longer work. You must download and use the new key file to log in.

Change Your Password

  1. Go to the Open User Menu icon in the top left corner.
  2. Select the Change Password option.
  3. In the pop-up, enter your current password.
  4. Next, enter and confirm your new password.
  5. Once done, click Apply.
caution

Even if you set the same password again, a new private key is generated. Your old key file will not work. If your deployment has split credentials enabled, the server-side encryption credentials are also regenerated, making the old key permanently invalid.

tip

After changing your password, delete all copies of the old key file and replace them with the new key file downloaded at next login.

Password Changed!

The password has been changed and the key file has been re-created. Please be aware of the following:

  • Make sure you delete all copies of the old key file.
  • Make backup copies of the new key file and store them in secure locations.
  • The Cached key is changed as well. Use the new password on the next login.
  • Even if you set the same password again, the old key file will not work. If split credentials are enabled, the server-side credentials are regenerated, making the old key permanently invalid.
Passwords Do Not Match

New password and its confirmation are not an exact match.

Re-type New Password

Re-type new password in the New Password field then re-type the exact same new password in the Confirm New Password field.

Incorrect password, please try again. 1-5/5 tries left.

Re-type your correct existing password

In the Current Password field re-type your correct existing password. You have 5 total permanent tries before your account gets locked indefinitely. The escrow team might be able to recover your private key in this situation.
