Past VMs

Prerequisites

User Role:

Admin, Super-admin

Permission Requirements

  • Basic VM Interaction
    • View drives
    • View hardware/image setups made available to them
    • View own VM configs and configs shared with them
    • View own VM username
    • View own VMs and VMs shared with them
  • VM Administration
    • View all VM configs in the system
    • Arbitrarily view logs from any VM

View Past VMs in the Management​

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Virtual Machines section.
  3. Click the Past VMs in the left panel.
  4. Select the past VM to view.
  5. Click the View button in the top right panel.
  6. In the left panel, view the past VM's name and owner.

View Logs of Past VMs​

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Virtual Machines section.
  3. Click the Past VMs in the left panel.
  4. Select the past VM whose logs you want to view.
  5. Click the Open Full Menu button in the top right panel.
  6. Select the View logs button in the top right panel.
  7. In the pop-up, view the past VM logs.
  8. Once done, click Close.

Click the Refresh button to refresh the logs.

Bulk Export Past VM(s) in CSV Format​

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Virtual Machines section.
  3. Click the Past VMs in the left panel.
  4. Select the past VM(s) you want to export in CSV format.
  5. Click the Export CSV button in the top right panel.
  6. Select Selected items.
  7. In the prompt, select the local directory to save the data.
  8. Click Save.

Bulk Export Past VM(s) in JSON Format​

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Virtual Machines section.
  3. Click the Past VMs in the left panel.
  4. Select the past VM(s) you want to export in JSON format.
  5. Click the Export JSON button in the top right panel.
  6. Select Export selected items.
  7. In the prompt, select the local directory to save the data.
  8. Click Save.

Refresh Logs of Past VMs​

bulk-action

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Virtual Machines section.
  3. Click the Past VMs in the left panel.
  4. Select the past VM(s) whose logs you want to refresh.
  5. Click the Open Full Menu button in the top right panel.
  6. Select the View logs button in the top right panel.
  7. In the pop-up, click Refresh.
  8. Examine the refreshed logs.
