NFS Mounts

Prerequisites

Access Level:

Admin, Super-admin

Permission Requirements

  • . Basic VM Interaction
    • View drives
    • Create drives
    • Edit drives (name and whether to disable backup)
    • View drive keys (necessary to share/attach)
    • Share drives
    • Unshare drives
    • Attach drives to VMs
    • Detach drives from VMs
    • Delete drives they own
  • . VM Administration
    • Delete arbitrary drives

Access the NFS Mounts in Managementโ€‹

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Virtual Machines section.
  3. Click the NFS Mounts in the left panel.

View Basic Information of an NFS Mountโ€‹

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Virtual Machines section.
  3. Click the NFS Mounts in the left panel.
  4. Select the NFS mount to view basic information.
  5. Click the View button in the top right panel.
  6. In the left panel, under the Basic Info subsection, view the NFS mount path and slot.

Create a New NFS Mountโ€‹

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Virtual Machines section.
  3. Click the NFS Mounts in the left panel.
  4. Click the Create new NFS mount button in the top right panel.
  5. In the pop-up, enter the NFS mount name, path, and slot.
  6. Click Create.

Edit an Existing NFS Mountโ€‹

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Virtual Machines section.
  3. Click the NFS Mounts in the left panel.
  4. Select the NFS mount to edit.
  5. Click the Edit button in the top right panel.
  6. In the pop-up, edit the NFS mount name, path, and slot.
  7. Click Update.

Change the NFS Mount Pathโ€‹

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Virtual Machines section.
  3. Click the NFS Mounts in the left panel.
  4. Select the NFS mount to change its path.
  5. Click the Edit button in the top right panel.
  6. In the pop-up, under the Path subsection, enter a new path.
  7. Click Update.

Change the Slot Location When an NFS Mount is Attached to Windows VMsโ€‹

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Virtual Machines section.
  3. Click the NFS Mounts in the left panel.
  4. Select the NFS mount to change its slot.
  5. Click the Edit button in the top right panel.
  6. In the pop-up, under the Slot subsection, select the new slot.
  7. Click Update.

Delete Existing NFS Mount(s)โ€‹

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Virtual Machines section.
  3. Click the NFS Mounts in the left panel.
  4. Select the NFS mount(s) to delete.
  5. Click the Delete button in the top right panel.
  6. In the prompt, click Delete.
