VM Accounts

Access Slurm VM Accounts

1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
2. Navigate to the Slurm section.
3. Click the VM Accounts in the left panel.
4. View the VM configurations and their Slurm accounts in the list.

The table lists the VM configurations whose VM image has the Slurm capability. A configuration without a Slurm account has a red background. Every action works on one row at a time.

The following table describes the columns of the VM Accounts table.

Column	Content
VM Config	The name of the VM configuration, with a link to its panel.
Slurm Account	The name of the Slurm account set for the configuration. Empty when none is set.
Raw Shares	The number of raw shares assigned to the account.
Raw Usage	The raw resource usage of the account.
Level FS	The level fair share value of the account.

Set Up Slurm VM Account

1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
2. Navigate to the Slurm section.
3. Click the VM Accounts in the left panel.
4. Select a VM configuration that has no Slurm account. These rows have a red background.
5. Click the Open full menu button in the top right panel.
6. Select Set Slurm Account.
7. In the Set Slurm Account pop-up, enter the Account Name and the Fair Share.
8. Click Create Account.

Result:

The message "Created Slurm account for VM config" appears, and the row shows the new account.

The following table describes the fields of the Set Slurm Account pop-up.

Field	Description
Account Name	Required, up to 80 characters, without any of / \ | " : * ? < > { }. It must differ from the account of every other VM configuration; a duplicate shows "Conflicts with another account".
Fair Share	A number of 1 or more. Fair share sets the relative priority of the account's jobs.

Update Fair Share in Slurm VM Accounts

1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
2. Navigate to the Slurm section.
3. Click the VM Accounts in the left panel.
4. Select the Slurm VM account to update its fair share.
5. Click the Open full menu button in the top right panel.
6. Select Update Fair Share.
7. In the Update Fair Share pop-up, enter a Fair Share of 1 or more.
8. Click Update Fair Share.

Result:

The message "Updated fair share for VM config" appears.

Remove Slurm VM Account

1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
2. Navigate to the Slurm section.
3. Click the VM Accounts in the left panel.
4. Select the Slurm VM account to remove.
5. Click the Open full menu button in the top right panel.
6. Select Remove Slurm Account.
7. In the Delete Slurm account from VM config '<name>'? prompt, click Yes.

Removing a Slurm VM account removes all its fair share settings and sub-accounts. Proceed with caution.
