Step 4: Navigate the Interface
After logging in, take a few minutes to orient yourself with the tiCrypt interface.
The Top Toolbar
The top toolbar contains four main sections:
| Icon | Section | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Vault | Manage encrypted files within your projects | |
| Virtual Machines | Create, start, and connect to secure VMs | |
| User Menu | View your profile, change settings, and manage memberships | |
| Notifications | View system alerts and administrator announcements |
Your Profile
Click the Open User Menu button, then select My profile to view your account details, team memberships, project access, and certifications.
For detailed profile management, see My Profile in the User Guide.
Settings and Themes
Click the Open User Menu button, then select Settings to change your theme (Classic, Dark, Coolgray, or High Contrast WCAG) and toolbar position.
Teams and Quotas
Your administrator assigns resource quotas to teams. View your quota usage from your profile under the Teams section.
For quota details, see Team Resource Usage in the User Guide.
Notifications
Click Notifications in the top toolbar to view system alerts and pending actions.
Profile Picture
Upload a profile picture from your profile overlay using the three-dot menu.
Logging Out
Click the Open User Menu button, then select Log Out. Confirm within the 60-second window.
After a period of inactivity, tiCrypt automatically clears your private key from memory to prevent unauthorized access. Your administrator configures this timeout.
