Start using your Virtual Machine
The virtual machine is usually the place where you spend most of your time during your research.
1. Start a Virtual Machine
To start a Virtual Machine navigate to the tab in the section.
- Select the virtual machine configuration you want to start.
- Click the
Start VM
button located in the top center. - Follow the instructions from start a virtual machine section.

You will be prompted to type your password then you will notice the Virtual Machine connecting to the drive automatically.
2. Connect to a Virtual Machine
To connect to a Virtual Machine navigate to the tab in the section.
- Select the virtual machine you want to connect to.
- Click the
Connect
button located in the top center. - Follow the instructions from connect a virtual machine section.
3. Open Remote Application (RDP)
To open the virtual machine application navigate to tab, in the Virtual Machines
section.
- Select the connected VM you want to open.
- Click the
Open remote application
button in the center right. - Follow the instructions from open remote application section.

4. Open VM Terminal
To open the virtual machine terminal navigate to tab, in the Virtual Machines
section.
- Select the connected VM you want to open the terminal of.
- Click the
Open terminal
button in the center right. - Follow the instructions from open VM terminal section.
5. Open VNC Terminal
To open a VNC terminal navigate to tab, in the Virtual Machines
section.
- Select the connected VM you want to open the VNC terminal for.
- Click the
Three dots
button in the top right. - In the prompt, click the
Open VNC Terminal
option. - Follow the instructions from open VNC terminal section.
