Changes​

  • Batch jobs that read large files from the same drive at the same time are much faster, because batch nodes now mount drives with 16 MB of read-ahead and 4 connections to the controller instead of 128 KB and 1. The image settings batch.nfs.readAheadKB and batch.nfs.nconnect change these values
  • A batch controller now runs its NFS server with 8 threads per vCPU, between 32 and 256, instead of 8 in total, so batch jobs reading at the same time no longer queue on the server. The image setting batch.nfs.serverThreads sets the count
