Inbox and SFTP

Inboxes Overview

note

An inbox helps you collect outside data from individuals and organizations who do not belong to tiCrypt infrastructure.

  • Inboxes are located in tab in the section.
  • An inbox looks like this: Example.
  • Once an inbox is created a URL is generated.
  • This URL can be shared with outside users to send files into a user's vault.
    note

The URL must be sent via a third party such as email to the outside user.

  • Inboxes may have multiple unique access points with different parameters for particular outside users.
  • The same way you drag-and-drop a file from your local machine to your vault, an outside individual or organization can drag-and-drop to your inbox.
  • Uploaded files from external users are populated in the tiCrypt inbox.

Inboxes do not infiltrate data but rather allow a cryptographically encrypted and secured entry point.

note

If you cannot make an inbox it means you do not have the permissions from your admin.
