Profile
Profile Outline
In this section, you can view all of the information about your account.
To view your profile navigate to the top right corner of the page and click on your User name
.
Click
My profile
option.View prompt options in the top left panel.
- . Profile: the user profile containing the total number of custom permissions.
- . Account status: whether or not the account has a disable restriction until a specified date.
- . State: whether the user is inactive, active or active and escrow on next login.
- . Role: current user role may be user, sub-administrator, administrator or super-administrator.
- View five sections in the left panel that can be displayed on the right as follows.
- . Permissions: your current permissions in the system.
- . Teams: the teams you are part of.
- . Projects: the projects you are a member of.
- . Certifications: the certifications you acquired.
- . Groups: the groups you are a member of.
- . Drives: the drives you can access either read-write or read-only.
- . Running Virtual Machines: the running virtual machines you can access.
- . Virtual Machine Configurations: the existing virtual machines shared with you.
You can access other User Profiles
by navigating to tab in the section in the top right panel and clicking on the user name
.
User State
In My profile
navigate to User State
on the left panel.
- This option is static for all user roles in the system.
- There are three user states you can be in:

New, escrow upon login
- .
Active
- .
Inactive
- .
New users should have New, escrow upon login
in the begining then have their states automatically switched to Active
.
Disable Account
If you leave the institution or go on a holiday, you may want to disable your account or another user's account for a specified time. Disabling other user accounts will require permissions from an admin.
In My profile
navigate to Disable Account
on the left panel.
In the prompt, type a disable until date which will restrict you from logging in until the specified date.
Additionally, select the
Remove disable restriction
if you want to enable your account.Click .
Do not attempt to randomly disable and enable your account. This may result in losing account access.
User Role
In My profile
navigate to User
on the left panel.
- This option is static for all user roles in the system.
Based on your user role permissions, you can view other user roles
that are lower in hierarchy. There are in total four user roles.

Permissions

navigate to Permissions
on the left panel.
View your profile permissions in the right panel.

Tick

permissions that need altering.
Do not attempt to change permissions randomly. This may result in losing account access. Only a user with a higher role (e.g. Subadmin, Admin) can alter your permissions in the system.
You can be granted or denied permissions in bulk.
Teams
In My profile
navigate to Teams
on the left panel.
- View the teams you are in.
With the appropriate permissions from an admin, you can:

Add
yourself to a team. - .
Remove
yourself from a team. - .
Bulk Email
all members of a team.
Projects
In My profile
navigate to Projects
on the left panel.
- View the projects you are in.
With the appropriate permissions from an admin, you can:
- .
Add
yourself to a project. - .
Edit
the expiration date, your role and restrictions in a project. - .
Remove
yourself from a project. - .
Bulk Email
all members of a project.
Certifications
In My profile
navigate to Certifications
on the left panel.
- View the certifications you own.
With the appropriate permissions from an admin, you can:

Add
certifications. - .
Edit
the expiration date of your certifications. - .
Remove
certifications. - .
Mark
certificationsas expired
. - .
Bulk Email
all members who own a specific certification.
Groups
In My profile
navigate to Groups
on the left panel.
- View the groups you are in.
With the appropriate permissions from an admin, you can:
- .
Add
yourself to a group. - .
Remove
yourself from a group. - .
Bulk Email
all members of a group.
You can also be assigned to multiple groups by your admin.
Groups are often used in tandem with Projects.
Drives
In My profile
navigate to Drives
on the left panel.
- View the drives you have access to.
With the appropriate permissions from an admin, you can:
- .
Share
drive with other users either inread-only
orread-write
mode. - .
Edit drive
properties such as name, backup settings and cache/IO strategy. - .
Change project
in drive by tagging it with a current project/subproject. - .
Bulk Email
all users who share the drive. - .
Unshare from everyone else
to unshare drive access with all users. - .
Delete
the drive and all its data.
You can view both read-write
or read-only
drives you have access to.
Running Virtual Machines
In My profile
navigate to Running Virtual Machines
on the left panel.
- View the running virtual machines you have access to.
With the appropriate permissions from an admin, you can:
- .
Open remote application
in the running virtual machine via proxy connection to local ports. - .
Transfer files to/from Vault
via the running virtual machine's drives and access directories. - .
Open SFTP pathway
in the running virtual machine via proxy connection to local ports for larger data transfer. - .
Open Terminal Hub
of command for all running virtual machines. - .
Fix VM permissions
between your user permissions and the running virtual machine. - .
Restart controller
of the running virtual machine. - .
Repair corrupted database
between the running virtual machine and the system. - .
View logs
of all actions for the running virtual machine. - .
JSON Export
generation from the running virtual machine data. - .
Open VNC terminal
from the running virtual machine. The running VM must have VNC enabled. - .
Share
the running virtual machine with other users while optionally syncing user access and/or auto-share drives. - .
Bulk Email
all users who share the running virtual machine. - .
Shut down
normally or by force the running virtual machine.
Virtual Machine Configurations
In My profile
navigate to Virtual Machine Configurations
on the left panel.
- View the existing virtual machines that were shared with you.
With the appropriate permissions from an admin, you can:

Edit
the basic virtual machine information, hardware setup, home drive, and optionally extra drive(s), additional options and actions. - .
Share
the virtual machine with other users while optionally syncing user access and/or auto-share drives. - .
Bulk Email
all users who share the virtual machine. - .
Shut down
normally or by force the virtual machine.
Some VMs may require you to be part of a project or have the appropriate permissions to connect to them.
