User Menu Overview
To access the user menu navigate to the top right corner of the page and click on your user name
.
View the following menu actions.

My Profile
: to display basic information about the account..
Theme
: to change the color theme of the system (dark mode, cool gray, and high contrast)..
My Team's Resource Usage
: to see the team resource usage where you are a member..
Log Out
: to log out of the system (closing the window will also log you out of the active session)..
Suspend
: to keep the current session active but will lock the session with the private key still in memory (the private key password will be needed to unlock the session and continue)..
Change Password
: to change the private key's password..
Key purged from memory
: to refresh your keys (this action is used for security purposes)..
Time until the session is locked
: to reset the time until a session is locked without requiring a re-login.
The user menu is global and can be accessed at any time.

Message Log & Notifications
The message log allows you to view all previous messages and actions since the start of the current session.
To access the message log & notifications navigate to the top right corner of the page and click on the Bell
icon.
- View the following information.
Messages
sent directly to you or to groups you are in.Notifications
whenever you share a file.
- Click in the top right corner to clear all notifications.
- Click anywhere outside the pop-up to exit.
Messages in notfications will show the Message
icon.
You receive a notification when you send out messages or share your files.
Notifications older than 3 months do not appear.
Other notifications displayed:

- . Successful action
- . Failed action
- . Warning on action execution
Tasks & Log history
To view the tasks & log history, you must perform an action that will trigger the Task tray
in the bottom right of the page.
- Click
Show Tasks
button in the top right corner of the page. - In the task tray, view all pending and completed tasks during the session (examples: file upload & download, transfers to and from the VM, connecting to a virtual machine).
- Click on any task to prompt the view logs history.
- View your session activity.
When a task begins, a notification on the bottom right also appears.The most recent notifications show up at the top of the taskbar.
The Contact Service
icon located in the top right corner shows your organization's contact details and can be customized by the admins.
- For longer tasks the task tray will display the percentage of the ongoing process. The process can be canceled by clicking the
Loading circle
on the right side of the task. - Once a task is ready, a checkmark will show up in the task tray. To clear all existing tasks click the
Clear finished tasks
button in the top right of the bottom-right task tray.
Search Documentation
You can search documentaion, directly from your tiCrypt interface.
- Click
Search Docs
button in the top right corner of the page. - In the prompt, type the keywords related to your search (examples: users, how to start a virtual machine, projects, etc.)
- Click the appropriate keyword-related documentation card.
- View the documentation page in a new tab.
Documentation is filtered by directory, chapters, headings and paragraphs.
- The
Search Docs
prompt will diplay directories at the top left (eg: Frequently Asked Questions). - The chapters are marked with the
file
symbol. - The headings are marked with the
hashtag
symbol. - The paragraphs that contain the keyword are marked with the
paragraph
symbol.
My Profile
To view your full profile navigate to the top right corner of the page and click on your User name
.
- Click
My profile
option. - In the new window, view the profile description and permissions.
- Click
Exit
in the top left.

My Profile Picture
To change your profile picture navigate to the top right corner of the page and click on your User name
.
- Click
My Profile Picture
option. - In the prompt, click button in the center left.
- From your local machine, select a picture you would like for your profile.
- Click .
- Resize the picture to your preferences.
- View the preview of the picture in all three sizes.
- Click .
Remove Profile Picture
To delete your profile picture navigate to the top right corner of the page and click on your User name
.
Click
My Profile Picture
option.In the prompt, click on the bottom left.
Your deleted profile picture will be automatically replaced by a system picture.
Theme
To change the system theme navigate to the top right corner of the page and click on your User name
.
- Click
Theme
option. - From the themes, select the one you would like.
- Click .
You can change the themes as many times as you would like.
Team's Resource Usage
Team resources data helps admins to allocate available resources to various teams according to the size of the research activity.
To view your team's resource usage navigate to the top right corner of the page and click on your User name
.
Click
My Teams' Resource Usage
option.View the following information.
- Full name of your team.
- Number of active cores out of the total cores.
- Current amount of memory out of the total available memory.
- Current drive size out of the total drive size.
- Current device usage out of the total available devices.
Click .
If you don't have access to view your teams (roles and permissions), the prompt will appear empty.
You must notify an admin if your team resources are exceeded.
Suspend
Suspend your account when you do not want to completely log out of the session, but you want to keep your account safe temporarily. Suspension is useful when you need to leave your desk temporarily.
To suspend your session navigate to the top right corner of the page and click on your User name
.
- Click
Suspend
option. - Once you are back, type your private key password.
- Click . You are now redirected to your last session.
Your account remains suspended for up to an hour before you are automatically logged out.
Change Password
To change your password navigate to the top right corner of the page and click on your User name
.
- Click
Change Password
option. - In the prompt, type your current password.
- Type your new password.
- Re-type your new password for confirmation.
- Click .
You must delete your old key file and replace it with the newly updated key file when you re-login.
Purge key
To purge key from memory navigate to the top right corner of the page and click on your User name
.
- Click the
PURGED
text. - Your keys are now manually reseted so you do not need to re-login for the next 30 minutes.
Session Lock
To lock your session navigate to the top right corner of the page and click on your User name
.
- Click the
Timer
option at the bottom-right corner. - Your time until the session is expired is now manually reset so you can keep your session open for the next 30 minutes.
Log Out
To log out of the system navigate to the top right corner of the page and click on your User name
.
- Click the
Log Out
option. - You are now logged out so your session is expired until the re-login.
