What is the Role of My Profile?
My Profile section enables you to take ownership and practice self-management. It encapsulates the various actions you can perform based on your assigned permissions. This is where you can view and manage all information related to your account.
What is the Open User Menu?
The user menu is the identity hub of each user. It is global and can be accessed by any user with higher role via Open Overlay. User Menu is only active for activated users.
What is the Purpose of Groups in User Profiles?
Groups enable collaboration by simplifying project assignments and managing users with specific constraints. They are often used alongside projects.
What are the Teams' Resource Usage?
Team resources data usage helps admins to allocate available resources to various teams according to the size of the research activity.
What is the Profile Picture?
Your profile picture is a medium for other users to recognize you easier when they perform an action that involves your access. Upon registration each user menu has a unique color pattern. You may change the pattern to a profile picture after account activation.
What are the User Settings in User Menu?
User settings allow you to alter your user experience by moving toolbar position and changing theme colors in tiCrypt.
What is the Change Password Option?
Changing your password updates your private key's password without affecting current workflows using the key.

How do I know my user profile?
- Go to the Open User Menu icon in the top left corner.
- Select the My Profile option.

How does my user role influence my activity?
Your user role influences the permissions you have in tiCrypt.
The main areas where your activity is influenced by your role are the following:
- System Settings Administration
- User Administration
- Team Interaction
- Key Escrow
- Vault Interaction
- Group Interaction
- Inbox Interaction
- Project Management
- VM Interaction
- Miscellaneous
Overall, the permissions allow you to view, edit, create, and delete various tiCrypt objects.

How do I contact my institution in case of a technical emergency?
Your institution should give you their technical support details in your initial training.
- Click the Open User Menu button in the top left corner.
- Select the Phone number/Website address from the menu.
- In the new window, connect directly to your host institution support team.
How do I request a new feature in tiCrypt for my institution?
You will be instructed by your institution about the contact person responsible for mediating feedback and feature requests for tiCrypt. Ussually the contact person for feature request is either your Project manager or your Super-admin.
How do I ensure my tiCrypt feature request for my institution ends up in production?
The tiCrypt product development team is dedicated to adding features that solve an existing problem. Certain features may sound reasonable; however, if they do not serve the research purpose and increase product complexity they may be discharged from production.
For Example, adding a mechanism that can add processes for solving an existing user interface problem is typically accepted.
Why Can I not View My New Login Logo Picture?
You cannot view your logo picture at login due to a failure in either picture size or format. You must change your logo picture or resize it to fit ~280px X 600px (h x w) in the .eps or .svg format.
- Go to the Open User Menu icon in the top left corner.
- Select the My Profile Picture option.
- In the pop-up, click the Upload button in the center.
- In the new window, select your new profile picture and click Open.
- View your profile picture size examples on the right.
- Click Save.
