How can I audit a classified project?

Premeditation

Auditing a project either Classified or Unlocked is carried out by the auditing team who has access to tiAudit.

Principle

Project auditing is encrypted and can only be queried by the auditing team. To view what happens with a project file you can use the file history option. Another way to partially view the history of a classified project is by checking the VM Logs of the associated project-tagged VM.

Practice

File History Access

To access the file history navigate to the tab in the My Files section.

  • Select the file you want to view the history of.
  • Click the View history button in the top panel.
  • View when the file was accessed, tagged to a project, and the users it was shared with.
  • Follow the instructions from the file history section.

VM Controller Logs

To view controller logs navigate to the tab in the Virtual Machines section.

  • Select the Virtual machine you want to view the logs of.
  • Scroll down from the right panel to the bottom.
  • Click the Controller Logs card.
  • Optionally, click to load older logs, or to view the logs on your local machine.
  • Follow the instructions from controller section.
caution

Downloading controller logs conveys that you take responsibility for the log data of the respective project.

note

Each log has a number, a timestamp with date & time, and a description of the event.
