Change Project

Prerequisites
  • Access Level: User, Admin (when forcefully tag projects).
  • Permission Requirements:
  • . Basic Project Interaction
    • View projects they are a member of
    • View other members in projects they are a member of
    • View own security requirement certifications
    • Classify resources with projects they are active in
  • . Project Management
    • Declassify resources tagged with projects they manage

Tag Files with a Project

bulk-action

  1. Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
  2. Click the My files section on the left panel.
  3. Select the file(s) you want to tag with a project.
  4. Click the Open Full Menu button in the top center panel.
  5. Select Change Project.
  6. In the prompt, enter or select the project name to tag the file(s) with.
  7. Click Classify.
note

Only admins and super-admins can override file permissions to change projects.

caution

You cannot re-tag files from different projects simultaneously.

Untag Files from a Project

bulk-action

  1. Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
  2. Click the My files section on the left panel.
  3. Select the file(s) you want to untag from a project.
  4. Click the Open Full Menu button in the top center panel.
  5. Select Change Project.
  6. In the prompt, select No project (unlocked).
  7. Click Declassify.

Forcefully Override Rules to Retag Files with a Project

bulk-action

  1. Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
  2. Click the My files section on the left panel.
  3. Select the file(s) you want to forcefully tag with a project.
  4. Click the Open Full Menu button in the top center panel.
  5. Select Change Project.
  6. In the prompt, enter or select the project name to tag the file(s).
  7. Tick Use my permission to override rules, re-tag resources with any visible project, regardless of current project relations to override rules as a super-admin for files that are not part of the project.
  8. Click Force change with admin privilege.

Recursively Tag All Files in a Directory with a Project

bulk-action

  1. Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
  2. Click the My files section on the left panel.
  3. Select the directory(ies) you want to tag with a project.
  4. Click the Open Full Menu button in the top center panel.
  5. Select Change Project.
  6. In the prompt, enter or select the project name to tag the directory(ies).
  7. Tick Recursively apply the permission change to change the project of all files within the selected directory.
  8. Click Classify.
note

You can only bulk select directories that are either untagged by project or have the same project tag.

Tag Files or Directories with a Subproject

bulk-action

  1. Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
  2. Click the My files section on the left panel.
  3. Select the file(s) or directory(ies) you want to tag with a subproject.
  4. Click the Open Full Menu button in the top center panel.
  5. Select Change Project.
  6. In the prompt, enter or select the subproject name to tag the file or directory with.
  7. Click Classify.

Untag Files from a Subproject

bulk-action

  1. Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
  2. Click the My files section on the left panel.
  3. Select the file(s) you want to untag from a subproject.
  4. Click the Open Full Menu button in the top center panel.
  5. Select Change Project.
  6. In the prompt, select No project (unlocked).
  7. Click Declassify.
