External SFTP Servers

Prerequisites
  • Access Level: Super-admin.
  • Permission Requirements:
  • . System Settings
    • View system settings (overrides for deployment)
  • . System Settings Administration
    • Edit (or create) system settings
  • . VM Administration
    • View external servers
    • Create external servers
    • Edit external servers
    • Delete any licensing server
  • . Miscellaneous
    • Transfer ownership of own files and drives

Create a New SFTP Server

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to Miscellaneous section.
  3. Click the External SFTP Servers in the left panel.
  4. Click the Create SFTP Server button in the top right panel.
  5. In the pop-up, enter the server name, host name or IP address, port, and optional expiration date.
  6. Select the teams and users who can access the server.
  7. Click Create.

Edit an SFTP Server

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to Miscellaneous section.
  3. Click the External SFTP Servers in the left panel.
  4. Select the SFTP server you want to edit.
  5. Click the Edit button in the top right panel.
  6. In the pop-up, edit the server name, host name or IP address, port, and optional expiration date.
  7. Update the teams and users who can access the server.
  8. Click Update.

View an SFTP Server

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Miscellaneous section.
  3. Click the External SFTP Servers in the left panel.
  4. Select the SFTP server you want to view.
  5. Click the View button in the top right panel.
  6. In the left panel, view the server name, host name or IP address, port, optional expiration date and the teams and users who can use the server.

Refresh SFTP Server(s)

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Miscellaneous section.
  3. Click the External SFTP Servers in the left panel.
  4. Click the Refresh button in the top right panel.

Export SFTP Server(s) in CSV Format

bulk-action

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Miscellaneous section.
  3. Click the External SFTP Servers in the left panel.
  4. Select the SFTP server(s) you want to export.
  5. Click the Export CSV button in the top right panel.
  6. Select the Selected items option.
  7. In the local window, select the export location.
  8. Click Save.

Export SFTP Server(s) in JSON Format

bulk-action

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Miscellaneous section.
  3. Click the External SFTP Servers in the left panel.
  4. Select the SFTP server(s) you want to export.
  5. Click the Export JSON button in the top right panel.
  6. Select Export selected items.
  7. In the local window, select the export location.
  8. Click Save.

Delete Existing SFTP Server(s)

bulk-action

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Miscellaneous section.
  3. Click the External SFTP Servers in the left panel.
  4. Select the SFTP server(s) you want to delete.
  5. Click the Delete button in the top right panel.
  6. In the prompt, click Yes.
