Onboarding
Prerequisites
- Access Level: Sub-admin, Admin.
- Permission Requirements:
- . User Administration
- View all users in the system
- Edit their own and lowered-roled users' metadata
- Edit their lower-roled users' permissions
- Promote lower-roled users up to their role
- Demote lower-roled users to even lower role
- View profiles (roles/permission templates)
- Create and edit profiles
- Delete profiles
- Activate lower-roled users
- Deactivate lower-roled users
- . Basic Team Interaction
- View own teams
- Edit own teams (depending on stature per-team)
- . Team Administration
- Add users to any team arbitrarily
- Modify any team membership arbitrarily
- Remove users from any team arbitrarily

- View projects they are a member of
- View other members in projects they are a member of
- View own security requirement certifications

- Add users to projects they manage
- Certify users for security requirements

Create an Onboarding Template
- Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
- Navigate to the Users section.
- Click the Onboarding in the top left panel.
- Click the Create new onboarding template button in the top right panel.
- In the pop-up, enter the template name.
- Click Create.
Change the State of an Onboarding Template
- Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
- Navigate to Users section.
- Click the Onboarding in the top left panel.
- Select the onboarding template for which you want to change the state.
- Click the Open Overlay button in the top right panel.
- In the window, click State in the top left panel.
- In the prompt, select the onboarding state to Inactive, Active or Active and escrow on next login.
- Click Deactivate, Activate or Require Escrow based on the selected option.
tip
It is recommended to activate an onboarding template only after adding all teams, projects, certifications, virtual machines, and setting up the profile.
note
For onboarding template deactivation you must proved a deactivation reason.
Set the Profile of an Onboarding Template
- Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
- Navigate to the Users section.
- Click the Onboarding in the top left panel.
- Select the onboarding template for which you want to set the profile.
- Click Open Overlay button in the top right panel.
- In the window, click Profile in the top left panel.
- In the prompt, select the onboarding profile.
- Click Set.
Remove Profile Settings in an Onboarding Template
- Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
- Navigate to the Users section.
- Click the Onboarding in the top left panel.
- Select the onboarding template to set the profile.
- Click Open Overlay button in the top right panel.
- In the window, click Profile in the top left panel.
- In the prompt, click Remove profile setting button in the bottom left.
Add Certification to an Onboarding Template
- Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
- Navigate to Users section.
- Click the Onboarding in the top left panel.
- Select the onboarding template to add the certification.
- Click Open Overlay button in the top right panel.
- In the window, click Certifications in the top left panel.
- Click the Add certification button in the top right panel.
- In the prompt, enter the security requirement and expiration period.
- Select the expiration update attempt for the onboarding certification.
- Click Certify.
Edit Certification in an Onboarding Template
- Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
- Navigate to Users section.
- Click the Onboarding in the top left panel.
- Select the onboarding template to edit the certification.
- Click Open Overlay button in the top right panel.
- In the window, click Certifications in the top left panel.
- Select the existing certification to edit.
- Click the Edit button in the top right panel.
- In the prompt, edit the expiration period and update attempt for the onboarding certification.
- Click Certify.
Delete Certification(s) from an Onboarding Template

- Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
- Navigate to Users section.
- Click the Onboarding in the top left panel.
- Select the onboarding template to delete the certification.
- Click Open Overlay button in the top right panel.
- In the window, click Certifications in the top left panel.
- Select the existing certification(s) to delete.
- Click the Delete button in the top right panel.
Add a Team to an Onboarding Template
- Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
- Navigate to Users section.
- Click the Onboarding in the top left panel.
- Select the onboarding template to add the team.
- Click Open Overlay button in the top right panel.
- In the window, click Teams in the top left panel.
- Click the Add team button in the top right panel.
- In the prompt, enter the onboarding team name.
- Click Select.
Remove Team(s) from an Onboarding Template
- Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
- Navigate to Users section.
- Click the Onboarding in the top left panel.
- Select the onboarding template to add the team.
- Click Open Overlay button in the top right panel.
- In the window, click Teams in the top left panel.
- Select the team(s) to remove from the onboarding template.
- Click the Delete onboard template(s) button in the top right panel.
Add a Project to an Onboarding Template
- Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
- Navigate to Users section.
- Click the Onboarding in the top left panel.
- Select the onboarding template to add the project.
- Click Open Overlay button in the top right panel.
- In the window, click Projects in the top left panel.
- Click the Add project button in the top right panel.
- In the prompt, select the onboarding project and its optional expiration date.
- Select the role of users in the project, restrictions, and expiration date update attempt.
- Click Save.
Edit a Project in an Onboarding Template
- Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
- Navigate to Users section.
- Click the Onboarding in the top left panel.
- Select the onboarding template to edit the project.
- Click Open Overlay button in the top right panel.
- In the window, click Projects in the top left panel.
- Select the existing project to edit.
- Click the Edit button in the top right panel.
- In the prompt, edit the project expiration date, role of new users in the project, restrictions, and expiration date update attempt.
Remove Project(s) from an Onboarding Template
- Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
- Navigate to Users section.
- Click the Onboarding in the top left panel.
- Select the onboarding template to remove the project(s).
- Click Open Overlay button in the top right panel.
- In the window, click Projects in the top left panel.
- Select the existing project(s) to remove.
- Click the Delete button in the top right panel.
Add a Virtual Machine Configuration to an Onboarding Template
- Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
- Navigate to Users section.
- Click the Onboarding in the top left panel.
- Select the onboarding template to add the virtual machine configuration.
- Click Open Overlay button in the top right panel.
- In the window, click Virtual Machine Configurations in the top left panel.
- Click the Add configuration button in the top right panel.
- In the prompt, enter the onboarding VM name, optional description, team, project, hardware setup, and home-drive name, capacity, and format.
- Click Create.
Edit a Virtual Machine Configuration in an Onboarding Template
- Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
- Navigate to Users section.
- Click the Onboarding in the top left panel.
- Select the onboarding template to edit the virtual machine configuration.
- Click Open Overlay button in the top right panel.
- In the window, click Virtual Machine Configurations in the top left panel.
- Select the existing virtual machine configuration to edit.
- Click the Open Full Menu button in the top right panel.
- Select Edit.
- In the prompt, edit the onboarding VM name, optional description, team, project, hardware setup, and home-drive name, capacity, and format.
- Once done, click Save.
Remove Virtual Machine Configuration(s) from an Onboarding Template
- Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
- Navigate to Users section.
- Click the Onboarding in the top left panel.
- Select the onboarding template to remove the virtual machine configuration.
- Click Open Overlay button in the top right panel.
- In the window, click Virtual Machine Configurations in the top left panel.
- Select the existing virtual machine configuration(s) to remove.
- Click the Open Full Menu button in the top right panel.
- Select Delete.
Delete an Onboarding Template
- Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
- Navigate to Users section.
- Click the Onboarding in the top left panel.
- Select the onboarding template you want to delete.
- Click the Delete onboard template(s) button in the top right panel.
- In the prompt, click Yes.
