Upload a File

Upload Button

1. Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
2. Click the My Files section on the left panel.
3. Click the Upload Files button at the top of the left panel.
4. Select Files.
5. In the new window, locate the local files to upload.
6. Click Open.
7. In the prompt, click Upload.

File Transfer Hub

1. Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
2. In the left panel, click the Transfer files between My Vault and My Computer button next to My Computer.
3. In the new window, select the files from the local access directory in the right panel.
4. Drag and drop the files into the Vault in the left panel.
5. In the prompt, click Upload.
6. Click the close button in the top left corner of the window.

caution

You cannot upload files or directories from your local machine into your Vault's trash.

tip

You can exit the file transfer window while uploading large files into your Vault.

You cannot upload files when you select Upload Files and Directories. Select Files instead.

Upload a Directory

Upload Button

1. Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
2. Click the My Files section on the left panel.
3. Click the Upload Files button at the top of the left panel.
4. Select Directories.
5. In the new window, locate the local directory to upload.
6. Click Upload.
7. In the new pop-up, click Upload to confirm.
8. In the prompt, preview the directory structure.
9. Click Upload.

File Transfer Hub

1. Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
2. In the left panel, click the Transfer files between My Vault and My Computer button next to My Computer.
3. In the new window, select the directory from the local access directory in the right panel.
4. Drag and drop the directory into the Vault in the left panel.
5. In the prompt, click Upload.
6. Click the close button in the top left corner of the window.

Allow multiple uploads in your browser if you perform this action frequently.

Preserve Directory Structure When Uploading

The tiCrypt upload function preserves the local directory structure by default.

tip

Set up the directory structure before the upload.

Set Permissions for Files and Directories Upload

1. Log in to your admin account.
2. Go to the Management icon in the top left panel.
3. Select the Users section.
4. Select Users.
5. Find and select the user you wish to delegate upload permissions to.
6. Click the Open full menu three-dot button in the top right panel.
7. Select Open overlay.
8. In the overlay, select Manual permission management in the left panel.
9. Go to the Basic Vault Interaction section.
10. Check Upload content to own files.
11. Click Save in the top right panel.

caution

By default, all users have upload access. Only admins should change upload permissions, and only to restrict access for specific users as required by policy.
