Users
View Other Users and Team Members in the Vault
- Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
- Click the Users card on the right panel.
- View all users you have access to in the right panel.

- Users with user roles can only view other users who are members of their teams.
- Users with sub-admin roles and admin roles can view users of teams they manage.
- Users with super-admin roles can view all users in the system.

You can use the search bar to find a user in the right panel.
Pin a User Key in the Vault
- Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
- Click the Users card on the right panel.
- Click the Pin Key button next to the user you want to pin.
- View the user whose public key has been pinned.
Unpin a User Key in the Vault
- Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
- Click the Users card on the right panel.
- Click the Unpin Key button next to the user you want to unpin.
- View the user whose public key has been unpinned.
View Details of a User in the Vault
- Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
- Click the Users card on the right panel.
- Click the Open Full Menu button.
- Select Open overlay.

You can also double-click the user's name to open the user overlay.
Onboard a User from the Vault
- Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
- Click the Users card on the right panel.
- Click the Open Full Menu button next to the user you want to onboard.
- Select Onboard.
- In the pop-up, select the appropriate onboard template.
- Click Onboard.
Apply a Profile to a User from the Vault
Method one:
- Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
- Click the Users card on the right panel.
- Click the Open Full Menu button next to the user for whom you want to apply a profile.
- Select Apply Profile.
- In the pop-up, select the appropriate profile.
- Click Apply.
Method two:
- Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
- Click the Users card on the right panel.
- Double-click the user you wish to apply profile to.
- In the Overview, click Custom card on the top center.
- In the pop-up, select the appropriate profile.
- Click Apply.

You must be a user with admin or super-admin roles to apply profiles.
Edit Metadata of a User from the Vault
Method one:
- Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
- Click the Users card on the right panel.
- Click the Open Full Menu button next to the user for whom you want to edit metadata.
- Select Edit metadata.
- In the pop-up, edit the first and last name, contact email, department and position.
- Click Save.
Method two:
- Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
- Click the Users card on the right panel.
- Double-click the user you wish to edit metadata for.
- In the Overview, click the Open Full Menu button by the user name card.
- Select Edit metadata.
- In the pop-up, edit the first and last name, contact email, department and position.
- Click Save.
Change the State of a User from the Vault
Method one:
- Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
- Click the Users card on the right panel.
- Click the Open Full Menu button next to the user whose state you want to change.
- Select Change State.
- In the pop-up, select between Inactive, Active or Active and escrow on next login.
- Click Save.
Method two:
- Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
- Click the Users card on the right panel.
- Double-click the user you wish to change the state of.
- In the Overview, click the Edit button by the State card.
- In the pop-up, select between Inactive, Active or Active and escrow on next login.
- Click Deactivate, Activate or Require escrow as required.
Change the Role of a User from the Vault
Method one:
- Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
- Click the Users card on the right panel.
- Click the Open Full Menu button next to the user whose role you want to change.
- Select Change Role.
- In the pop-up, change the user's role to User, Sub-administrator, Administrator or Super-administrator.
- Click Promote or Demote as requested.
Method two:
- Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
- Click the Users card on the right panel.
- Double-click the user you wish to change roles.
- In the Overview, click the Open Full Menu button by the user name card.
- Select Change Role.
- In the pop-up, change the user's role to User, Sub-administrator, Administrator or Super-administrator.
- Click Promote or Demote as requested.
Add a User to a Team from the Vault
Method one:
- Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
- Click the Users card on the right panel.
- Click the Open Full Menu button next to the user you want to add to team(s).
- Select Add to Team(s).
- In the pop-up, enter the team(s) to add the user to.
- Click Save.
Method two:
- Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
- Click the Users card on the right panel.
- Double-click the user you wish to add to team(s).
- In the new window, click the Teams card in the left panel.
- Click Add to team(s) button in the top right panel.
- In the pop-up, enter the team(s) to add the user to.
- Click Save.
Add a User to a Project from the Vault
Method one:
- Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
- Click the Users card on the right panel.
- Click the Open Full Menu button next to the user you want to add to project(s).
- Select Add to project(s).
- In the pop-up, select the project to add user to, their role, restrictions, and membership renewal in the project.
- Click Save.
Method two:
- Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
- Click the Users card on the right panel.
- Double-click the user you wish to add to team(s).
- In the new window, click the Projects card in the left panel.
- Click Add to project(s) button in the top right panel.
- In the pop-up, select the project to add user to, their role, restrictions, and membership renewal in the project.
- Click Save.
Certify a User for a Project from the Vault
Method one:
- Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
- Click the Users card on the right panel.
- Click the Open Full Menu button next to the user you want to certify.
- Select Add Certification.
- In the pop-up, enter the security requirement, the expiration date and renewal attempt.
- Click Certify.
Method two:
- Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
- Click the Users card on the right panel.
- Double-click the user you wish to certify.
- In the new window, click the Certifications card in the left panel.
- Click Certify this user for another requirement button in the top right panel.
- In the pop-up, enter the security requirement, the expiration date and renewal attempt.
- Click Certify.

Setting a certification expiration date in the past will result in the certification being marked as expired.
Refresh a User's Information from the Vault
- Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
- Click the Users card on the right panel.
- Click the Open Full Menu button next to the user whose information you want to refresh.
- Select Refresh user info.
- In the pop-up, click Refresh user info.
Make an Announcement to a User from the Vault
- Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
- Click the Users card on the right panel.
- Click the Open Full Menu button next to the user to whom you want to make an announcement.
- Select Make annonuncement.
- In the pop-up, enter the announcement message.
- Click Send.
Bulk Email a User from the Vault
- Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
- Click the Users card on the right panel.
- Click the Open Full Menu button next to the user you want to bulk email.
- Select Bulk email.
- In the pop-up, click Copy to copy the email or click Download to download the email.
- Once done, click Close.
Delete a User from the Vault
- Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
- Click the Users card on the right panel.
- Click the Open Full Menu button next to the user you want to delete.
- Select Delete.
- In the pop-up, click Delete user.

Deleted users are removed from tiCrypt, however, deleted users may still be associated with teams, projects and own drives.

Deleted users will be stored in the Deleted Users section in management.
View Common Groups with a User from the Vault
- Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
- Click the Users card on the right panel.
- Double-click the user you wish to view common groups with.
- In the new window, click the Groups in common with you card in the left panel.
- View all groups you have in common with the user.
Add a User to a Group from the Vault
- Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
- Click the Users card on the right panel.
- Double-click the user you wish to add to a group.
- In the new window, click the Groups in common with you card in the left panel.
- Click Add to one of your groups button in the top right panel.
- In the pop-up, select the group and user permissions within the group.
- Click Add to group.
View Drives That a User Has Access to from the Vault
- Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
- Click the Users card on the right panel.
- Double-click the user you wish to view the drives of.
- In the new window, click the Drives card in the left panel.
- View all drives the user has access to.
View the Running Virtual Machines a User Has Access to from the Vault
- Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
- Click the Users card on the right panel.
- Double-click the user you wish to view the running virtual machines of.
- In the new window, click the Running Virtual Machines card in the left panel.
- View all running virtual machines the user has access to.
View the Virtual Machines Configurations Owned or Shared by the User in the Vault
- Go to the Vault icon in the top left panel.
- Click the Users card on the right panel.
- Double-click the user you wish to view the virtual machines configurations of.
- In the new window, click the Virtual Machine Configurations card in the left panel.
- View all virtual machines configurations of the user.
