Hardware Profiles

Access Hardware Profiles

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Virtual Machines section.
  3. Click the Hardware Profiles in the left panel.

View Basic Information of a Hardware Profile

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Virtual Machines section.
  3. Click the Hardware Profiles in the left panel.
  4. Select the hardware profile you want to view.
  5. Click the View button in the top right panel.
  6. View the hardware profile's name, realm, description, source, cost function ID, cores, memory, and devices in the left panel.

Create a New Hardware Profile

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Virtual Machines section.
  3. Click the Hardware Profiles in the left panel.
  4. Click the Create new hardware profile button in the top right panel.
  5. In the pop-up, enter the realm, hardware profile name, description, cores, maximum memory, device name, ID, quantity, vendor, and type.
  6. Click Create hardware profile.

Edit a Hardware Profile

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Virtual Machines section.
  3. Click the Hardware Profiles in the left panel.
  4. Select the hardware profile you want to edit.
  5. Click the Edit button in the top right panel.
  6. In the pop-up, edit the hardware profile name, description, cores, maximum memory, device name, ID, quantity, vendor, and type.
  7. Click Update.

Editing hardware profiles is only supported in Nutanix realms.

Delete a Hardware Profile

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Virtual Machines section.
  3. Click the Hardware Profiles in the left panel.
  4. Select the hardware profile you want to delete.
  5. Click the Delete button in the top right panel.
  6. In the pop-up, click Delete.

Deleting hardware profiles is only supported in Nutanix realms.
