Resources by Project

View a Resource by Project

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Projects section.
  3. Click the Resources by Project in the left panel.
  4. Select the project resource you want to view.
  5. Click the View button in the top right panel.
  6. View the project name, tag, description, parent project, security level, creation date, project managers, members, and drives in the left panel.

Open Overlay of a Resource by Project

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Projects section.
  3. Click the Resources by Project in the left panel.
  4. Select the project resource for which you want to open the overlay.
  5. Click the Open Overlay button in the top right panel.
  6. In the window, view the project members, subprojects, security levels and certifications.
  7. Click Close to exit.

Add Members to a Project via Resources by Project

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Projects section.
  3. Click the Resources by Project in the left panel.
  4. Select the project resource to which you want to add members.
  5. Click the Open Overlay button in the top right panel.
  6. In the window, navigate to Members section.
  7. Click Add users to the project in the top right panel.
  8. In the pop-up, under Select item enter the user names to add to the project.
  9. Scroll down and enter their expiration date in the project, role, restrictions, and expiration update attempt.
  10. Once done, click Save.
note

Use the Undo button if an unintended user was added to the project.

Create a Subproject via Resources by Project

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Projects section.
  3. Click the Resources by Project in the left panel.
  4. Select the project resource to create a subproject.
  5. Click the Open Overlay button in the top right panel.
  6. In the window, navigate to Subprojects section.
  7. Click Create new subproject in the top right panel.
  8. In the pop-up, enter the subproject tag text, name, optional description, security level, and principal investigator name.
  9. Click Create.

Edit Security Level in Project via Resources by Project

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Projects section.
  3. Click the Resources by Project in the left panel.
  4. Select the project resource to edit the security level.
  5. Click the Open Overlay button in the top right panel.
  6. In the window, navigate to Security levels section.
  7. Click Edit security level in the top right panel.
  8. In the pop-up, edit the name, description and requirements.
  9. Once done, click Update.
tip

You can remove and add new security requirements while keeping the security level intact.

Edit Security Requirements in Project via Resources by Project

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Projects section.
  3. Click the Resources by Project in the left panel.
  4. Select the project resource to edit security requirements.
  5. Click the Open Overlay button in the top right panel.
  6. In the window, navigate to Security levels section.
  7. Select the security requirement to edit.
  8. Click Edit in the top right panel.
  9. In the pop-up, edit the name, description, certification expiration and lifespan.
  10. Once done, click Update.

Certify Users in Project via Resources by Project

Method one:

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Projects section.
  3. Click the Resources by Project in the left panel.
  4. Select the project resource to certify users.
  5. Click the Open Overlay button in the top right panel.
  6. In the window, navigate to Security levels section.
  7. Select the security requirement to certify users.
  8. Click Certify user(s) in the top right panel.
  9. In the pop-up, enter the user names to certify, expiration date and attempt to update certification.
  10. Click Save.

Method two:

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Projects section.
  3. Click the Resources by Project in the left panel.
  4. Select the project resource to certify users.
  5. Click the Open Overlay button in the top right panel.
  6. In the window, navigate to Member Certifications section.
  7. Click Certify user(s) for a security requirement in the top right panel.
  8. In the pop-up, enter the requirement, user names to certify, expiration date and attempt to update certification.
  9. Click Certify.

Delete a Security Requirement from Project via Resources by Project

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Projects section.
  3. Click the Resources by Project in the left panel.
  4. Select the project resource to delete a security requirement.
  5. Click the Open Overlay button in the top right panel.
  6. In the window, navigate to Security levels section.
  7. Select the security requirement to delete.
  8. Click Delete in the top right panel.
  9. In the prompt, click Delete.
caution

You can only delete a security requirement if no one is using it.

Assign a Project Resource to a Sub-Admin

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Projects section.
  3. Click the Resources by Project in the left panel.
  4. Select the project resource to assign to sub-admin.
  5. Click the Assign to subadmin(s) button in the top right panel.
  6. In the pop-up, enter the sub-admin names to assign the subproject.
  7. Click Assign.

Assign a Subproject Resource to a Sub-Admin

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Projects section.
  3. Click the Resources by Project in the left panel.
  4. Select the subproject resource to assign to sub-admin.
  5. Click the Open Overlay button in the top right panel.
  6. In the window, navigate to Subprojects section.
  7. Select the subproject to assign to a sub-admin.
  8. Click the Assign to subadmin(s) button in the top right panel.
  9. In the pop-up, enter the sub-admin names to assign the subproject.
  10. Click Assign.

Edit a Project Resource

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Projects section.
  3. Click the Resources by Project in the left panel.
  4. Select the project resource to edit.
  5. Click the Open Overlay button in the top right panel.
  6. In the window, click the Edit project button in the top left panel.
  7. In the pop-up, edit the project tag text, color, name, optional description, security level and principal investigator's name.
  8. Click Update.

Make a Project Announcement via Resources by Project

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Projects section.
  3. Click the Resources by Project in the left panel.
  4. Select the project to make an announcement.
  5. Click the Open Full Menu button in the top right panel.
  6. Select Make an announcement.
  7. In the pop-up, enter your message for the project members.
  8. Click Send.

Delete a Project Resource

  1. Go to the Management icon in the top left taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Projects section.
  3. Click the Resources by Project in the left panel.
  4. Select the project resource to delete.
  5. Click the Open Overlay button in the top right panel.
  6. Click Delete in the top left panel.
  7. In the prompt, click Delete.

You can only delete a project resource if no one is using it and no subprojects are attached.
